We recently attended a signage workshop where presenter Cecilia Kruger showed us an array of examples of problems, solutions and trends for external and internal signage. A practical way of reviewing your signage is to "go on the customer's journey". According to Cecilia  photos can be an effective part of the review because a 2D image show's up more problems than our 3D view.
