I recently came across a presentation by David Lee King called: Managers Pay Attention! It addresses the relevance of social networking and Web 2.0 to libraries. I've downloaded the slides if you want to run through them - it only takes about 5 minutes or so. You can find them in the xfer directory: G:\xfer\boyce\managerspayattention.pdf

The PDF won't stay there forever so if you they're not there when you go to look you can get them from David's blog.

David Lee King is widely known as a champion of technology in libraries. I follow his blog and I find he has very interesting things to say about the use of these tools in libraries. He is of course very pro social networking and web 2.0 for libraries but he always makes a good argument for his point of view and gives practical examples of how to implement new services.
